The Government recently published the latest list of employers named for underpaying their workers the national minimum wage. Even if you pay above the minimum wage you could still be liable for underpayment.
HMRC have issued a guide for employers on complying with the national minimum wage which we thought may be useful.
You must pay people who do work for you at least the minimum wage if they are a ‘worker’ for minimum wage purposes and a specific exemption doesn’t apply to them.
